This painting was inspired by an island with one tree at my childhood cottage. Used to row out to the island and swim and play on the island in the Huntsville, Muskoka cottage country. Northern Ontario has so many beautiful cottage areas, and apart from the mountain this piece aims to capture this atmosphere. The calm ripples on the water, the reflections. I can almost here the Loons calling as sunset starts to fall.
