This fall season has been very productive and inspiring! Really starting to enjoy working with Gouache medium for my imaginary landscape scenery.

Gouache is very quick drying and allows me to work in layers quite rapidly. Without having to wait until under layers dry. But I have noticed that water reactivates the layer below, so blending comes very naturally with Gouache.

I have worked hard to learn effortless painting, avoiding the stress of fussing over tiny details. Allowing effects to occur naturally on their own. Relaxation is the key and truly enjoying the scene as it unfolds. Trees are my favorite since they are so individual and different. Full of variations in the bark texture, and their branches can grow on any angles they want. Nature can be messy and overlapping, intertwined. That's what I love about it.
